The blaze broke out around 5:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 20, at a home on Manhasset Trail in Ridge, said the Suffolk County Police.
One woman, who lives at the home, was transported by the Ridge Fire Department to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said.
Another resident in the home was not injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but appears to be non-criminal, police said.
